Bombay Potatoes III

Ingredients

30g/1oz butter
one third potato, peeled and cubed
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp curry powder
½ chicken stock cube
150ml/¼ pint cream
1 glass white wine

Directions

1. Preheat a small frying pan.2. Melt the butter in the frying pan before adding the potatoes and sautéing for 3 minutes.3. Add the turmeric and curry powder and crumble in the stock cube. Stir well to coat the potatoes with the spices.4. Pour in the cream and wine. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Add more wine if the liquid evaporates. Check the potatoes are soft, then serve
