Wasabi Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
1 1/4 teaspoons salt, divided
2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks
1 chicken bouillon cube, crushed
1 tablespoon hot water
1 cup half & half
2 teaspoons Wasabi Powder
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1 tablespoon butter
Directions
1. Fill a large pot half way with water; add 1 teaspoon salt. Add potatoes; bring to a boil. Boil until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain potatoes and return to pot.
2. Add bouillon cube to hot water to soften; then mash. Combine half & half, wasabi powder, garlic, pepper, and remaining salt in a small bowl. Whisk until powder is dissolved.
3. Add bouillon, wasabi mixture, and butter to potatoes. Beat potatoes with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy.
